TESTIMONY 1

The Bible tells us of how they overcame Satan - the dragon – “by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony”. (Revelation 12:11 - New King James Version – NKJV)

The Lord declared in Isaiah 65:24 (New Living Translation - NLT): I will answer them before they even call to me. While they are still talking to me about their needs, I will go ahead and answer their prayers!

Sometime ago in a remote part of the world, a newly born baby whose mother died while giving birth was taken to the orphanage. When the baby arrived, it was realized that the orphanage was lacking two of the basic materials that were needed for the child's survival. The orphanage staff discussed among themselves that unless the two necessary materials were acquired within two days, the baby stood little chance of survival. While the members of staff of the orphanage were discussing the fate of the newly arrived baby, a five-year old girl was within earshot. The little girl could not help hearing the conversation. She felt touched by the plight of the newly arrived infant. So she approached one of the members of staff of the orphanage, and asked if she could pray to God concerning the needs of the infant to the Lord in prayer. She simply mentioned to God what was needed, and how quickly the needs have to be met to ensure the baby's survival. The prayer was very short, with just few words. And the tone was not even sanctimonious; it was quite informal. Yet it represented the innocent plea of a child. The following day, in the morning, a knock was heard on the front door. When the door was opened, the mailman was standing in the doorway. He had a big parcel in his hand. The parcel was being delivered from another continent to the orphanage. Upon receiving the delivery, the parcel was opened. Lo and behold, the parcel contained the two materials needed to ensure the survival of the newly arrived infant.

Dear friend, you see, the amazing thing about this miracle of provision is not just meeting a need when it was needed. There was another component of this testimony that really highlights how awesome our God is in His dealings with His children. The miracle at the orphanage happened at a time in history before the technology behind aircraft was developed. The means of transportation from one continent to another was by slow travelling ships. Keep in mind, the parcel containing the materials needed was sent from one remote part of the world to another. With the kind of transportation that was available at that time, this took about six months. Yet when the little girl prayed, the answer was received the following day. It seems as if somehow knew in advance that the infant would be born. It seems as if someone knew in advance that the infant would end up in an orphanage. It seems as if someone knew in advance that the orphanage would be lacking in some materials needed to ensure the survival of the baby. It seems as if someone knew in advance that a little girl would pray concerning the needs. It seems as if someone had arranged for the needs to be met six months earlier even before the prayer was said. It seems as if Someone had taken it upon Himself to see to it that the needs were met. Did the Lord not declare in His word “that before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear" (Isaiah 65:24 NKJV). Indeed, great and mighty is our God, who continually gives us cause to shout for joy and be glad.
27 ........... Let them continually say, “Great is the LORD, who enjoys helping his servant.” 28 Then I will tell everyone of your justice and goodness, and I will praise you all day long (Psalms 35:27,28 NLT)

Who are we not to trust God? The Lord Jesus said, "Did I not tell you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?” (John 11:40 NKJV).
Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” (Mark 9:23 NKJV)

"Then you will know that I am the Lord, for they shall not be ashamed who wait for Me" (Isaiah 49:23 NKJV).

"Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?" (Jeremiah 32:27 NKJV).

But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26 NKJV).

Keep in mind that we do not serve a God who is unable to identify with us, and what we go through.

Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; nor His ear heavy, that it cannot hear" (Isaiah 59:1 NKJV).

"Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know" (Jeremiah 33:3 NKJV).

But as it is written: Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him (I Corinthians 2:9 NKJV).

2 As fire causes wood to burn and water to boil, your coming would make the nations tremble. Then your enemies would learn the reason for your fame! 3 When you came down long ago, you did awesome things beyond our highest expectations. And oh, how the mountains quaked! 4 For since the world began, no ear has heard, and no eye has seen a God like you, who works for those who wait for him! (Isaiah 64:4 NLT)

For no one has ever seen or heard of a God like You, who does such deeds for those who put their hope in You" (Isaiah 64:4 Good News Bible - GNB).

18 The Lord is near to all who call upon him, to all who call upon him in truth. 19 He fulfills the desire of all who fear him, he also hears their cry and saves them. 20 The Lord preserves all who love Him; .......... (Psalms 145:18-20 Revised Standard Version - RSV).

Did the word of God not say: Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you the desire of your heart?" (Psalms 37:4 RSV).

For the mouth of the Lord has spoken that "if you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land." (Isaiah 1:19 RSV)

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember in the name of the Lord our God (Psalm 20:7 NKJV)

For "the name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous man runs into it and is safe" (Proverbs 18:10 RSV).

"Those who trust in the Lord are the Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever. As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the Lord is round about His people, from this time forth and for evermore" (Psalms 125:1-2 RSV).

God bless.
